주폐포자충 폐렴[pneumocystis pneumonia]

- 폐포자충(Pneumocystis jirovecii)라는 곰팡이(진균)에 감염되어 발생하는 폐렴을 폐포자충폐렴이라고 부른다. 면역기능이 정상인 사람에서는 거의 발생하지 않으며 사람면역결핍바이러스 감염, 장기 이식을 받은 사람, 고용량의 스테로이드와 같은 면역억제제를 투여 받은사람에서 발생한다. 양측 폐를 침범하는 폐렴으로 나타난다.
